I have my second pair of nail art earrings to show you! The first one is here. For this pair I used some little wooden pendants that my dad cut for me to use as earrings. They are rectangle and circle shapes and he drilled tiny holes for the earring clasps. He sanded them, but I also used a nail file to smooth some of the corners. Then I grabbed my nail polish and started decorating them!
I painted the wooden squares with black wet n wild nail polish called Ebony Hates Chris. Then I stamped the rectangles using blue Keks by Butter London along with my MoYou Pro Collection 04 stamp. The squishy stamper kinda went wooooosh sideways… you can see my stamps are a little off-center. 😦 But still, I love how the Butter London stamps over the black. I tried this combo one time before when I reviewed some MoYou London items. It looked wicked, but you couldn’t really tell since it was only on my thumbs. (here’s a pic! check out my thumb!) I just knew I had to try that black n blue combo again. So I did. I also added a few rhinestones to my earrings that I stuck on with clear nail polish. Lastly, I attached some fishhook earring clasps, and there ya have it. My Butter London Earrings.
Thank for stopping by and I hope to see you tomorrow. I have a new underside mani to show you! Then later this weekend I’ve got a gradient for our Nail Art Ideas Linkup. Ta-ta!
Oh mon dieu!! Is this really my last manicure for the OMD challenge? How the month flew right by! Not sure why it feels so fast considering how much time we all put into the challenge. I estimate that I put 3 hrs into each theme’s post…multiply that by 31 days… and that means 93 hours spent on my nails this month. WOW!! Obsessed with nails much? Yes, yes I am… thank you very much! And from seeing all the amazing daily entries from all of you- I estimate you are just as obsessed as I am! I’m so glad we were all able to collaborate and meet up (virtually) via this challenge! Let’s keep in touch, oui??
For RECREATE YOUR FAVORITE DAY I initially selected a mani by Emma from Cambridge Nails. See her stunning Lichtenstein’s Ben-Day dots design here! I absolutely loved the styling of the woman’s eye that she painted on her nail! The first time I tried it- I messed up the shape of the eye. Out comes the nail polish remover. The second time I tried it I messed up the eyebrow. Hence, why my day 31 post is a day late! Please forgive me :). Props to Emma for tackling such a difficult design!! It was harder than I anticipated! So I decided to move on and try a different manicure of hers. I picked Emma’s Rock the Boat/Starfish manicure- see it here!! I loved this mani! She based hers on the Chalkboard starfish tutorial (which I’ve been dying to try for a while now). Another cool thing is, Emma used one of her untried blue polishes as her base color… and I just happen to have the perfect untried blue too! So here we go- check out my starfish mani!
What I’m wearing:
blue base color ♥ Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Breezy Blue
red stars ♥ Snog by Butter London
peach dots ♥ Color Club’s Coral Cascade
yellow dots ♥ Cheeky Chops by Butter London
It took a really long time…. but I love it! Thanks to Emma for inspiring me to finally try out that starfish tutorial!
